Ft. Bend Fair and Baby Shower

These last few weeks have been very busy. Thursday night Shelby dropped so now I can breath again! Yes! It sure does feel good...can't wait to have my entire body and energy level back! Anyhow, because she dropped Nancy decided to change her ticket and come early. She flew in on Saturday morning.

Friday night Ryan was in the open rodeo for team roping. No luck there. His header missed on the first steer and he missed for his header on the 2nd steer. It was still fun being out with all of our friends. The fair is like a big reunion...everyone you know but don't see very often is there. I love it! It's my favorite time of the year.

Nancy decided to fly in early since Shelby had dropped. So, Saturday after we picked Nancy up from the airport we went to Olive Garden (Yummy...I had been craving that for a while!)...we went home for a while then went back up to the rodeo for the 2nd night. Ryan didn't compete...we just hung out with friends and watched the rodeo. I had all intentions of watching Johnny Lee in concert but by 10:30 I was ready to go home or should I say Shelby was ready to go home!?! Since Nancy was too Ryan had to go home! HA!

Sunday was our 'make up' day for our personal baby shower. It was a lot of fun and we had about 20 people come out for the big event. I'm so grateful to have such wonderful 'family' down here in Texas. The biggest surprise was when my 5 hosts (Donna, Erin, Glenda, Pam, and Rossy) bought us a rocking chair! Yes, a wood rocking chair! It is awesome! I had been wanting one but haven't taken the time to buy one. I guess there was a reason I procrastinated!

Last night was the ranch rode. Ryan was on a team of 4 men. There are 4 events and all the teams try to get a fast, qualifying time. The first event was cutting...they had about 10 cattle and as one man walks over the white line they call a number. They then have to get the steer with that number on his back plus the additional 2 numbers (ex: 4,5,6) out of that area and across the white line. They got DQ'd cause the wrong cattle went over. The 2nd event they had to rope a steer and pull the rope over a yoke then tie the steers head to the yoke (which is like a Y shaped tree stump) and then pull the heading rope off of the steer. The 3rd event 2 men have to head and heel the steer and stretch the steer out so he's lying on his side on the ground with his head and heels roped. Then, a third man has to put in X on the steer. The 4th event I missed cause it was late and I went to sleep in the horse trailer. So, I can't remember what they did for that. Overall, they got a time on 3 out of 4 events. Not bad! Ryan had so much fun too. He loved it...so maybe he'll start doing that more often. Ranch Rodeo events are very popular with the ranch cowboys because it's what most of them do everyday or, like Ryan, do it whenever they get an opportunity to work cattle.

Like rodeo events, each event originated from when cowboys had to do this for a living and they made a sport out of it. It's a lot of fun to watch too. I may upload some videos for you to watch, but that depends on how much time I get in the near future. Ha! My days are numbered!

Finally, I have my doctors appointment today. Probably my last one. If Shelby doesn't come this week I'll be induced next week. So, we're almost there. She is giving me all the signs she's getting ready so I'm anxious to see what doc says today. :)

I am in the process of adding pictures of my last two showers as well as this weekends events. It may take me most of the day, so be patient and enjoy. I'll add the shower pics to Shelby's link and I'll add the fair pics to "Texas"...enjoy!

It's getting closer

Last night I did not sleep well. I was so glad we had today off for Ft. Bend County Fair Day. I tossed and turned a lot and my hips hurt so bad. I also got up a lot to use the restroom. Thank God our restroom is in our room. What a blessing something so simple as that is for me.

Then, I woke up this morning and it looked like my belly had downsized to about half the size. Shelby had managed to move way down and is getting ready for her decent. The doc said I had nothing to worry about before Tuesday, but I'm not so sure now. She's definately ready. I called my sister, Shelly, to ask her about it and she said it could be up to 5 days. That's fine with me. I would really like to just get through the weekend so Ryan can rope tonight and we can have our already rescheduled baby shower on Sunday. But, that will be up to Shelby.

I guess this means I should pack my bags for the hospital. I have started on Shelby's stuff, but haven't even thought about mine. I also have that surge of energy I read about. It feels so good to have energy again and to be able to breath again! We'll try to keep you posted. Keep your fingers crossed it is not for a few more days or longer. :)

Getting Closer to Shelby

I had my doctor appointment yesterday for 37 1/2 weeks. Doc says still no signs of having a baby, but I am getting closer. He expects me to make it to my appointment next Tuesday. We'll see where I'm at and decide what to do from there. He says he wants to induce me if I don't go into labor by the 39th week. So, if nothing happens we'll plan a day to have me induced the week of October 5th. That will be weird picking out her birthday if that happens.

Last week was my week to panic. This week it was Ryan's. :) I was relieved to hear that the doc didn't expect her to come between now and next Tuesday. Ryan is roping in the rodeo on Friday night and he's in the ranch rodeo on Monday. We've also rescheduled our baby shower to Sunday. We had to cancel because of Hurricane Ike. I also had hoped to make it to the PRCA Rodeo before Shelby came the weekend of Oct. 3rd. So, it looks like I'll be able to make it to all of them. Also, Mom Boudrie is coming Oct. 3rd and I was hoping to have a few days with her before Shelby's arrival.

Galveston Pictures

I have added pictures of my friend, Alison's, family beach house. This is the house I went to back in June for the day. I cannot believe how different everything looks. I have added the pictures of her beach house to "Hurricane Ike" but I wanted to show you this picture. I took the pic on the left when I was there in June because the view was so beautiful. The pic on the right is what it looks like now.

Most of the damage was done by the storm surge, but they also had hurricane winds up to 120 MPH. Although her family's beach house has damage it was minimal compared to those around it. This house has withstood many hurricanes including Hurricanes Alicia, Rita, Katrina and now Ike. Ike was only a category 2 (1 MPH from being a cat 3)...and look at the damage. It was such a big hurricane (500 miles wide) which is what it was as destructive as a larger hurricane.

In Memory of Diesel

Yesterday evening we lost Ryan's beloved dog, Diesel. He was one in a million and will be missed GREATLY. Ryan had just left with a friend and I went inside for just a few minutes to get some things together. I was leaving just a few minutes behind him. When I called for the dogs Diesel (aka Booze) didn't come like he always does. After calling and calling for him I went out to see if he was on the road. Unfortunately he was. We are both heart broken as this dog was not just any pet. He was our friend, Ryan's buddy. Just writing this brings me to tears and I know the next few days and weeks are going to be extremely hard for both of us. D brought a lot of life to our family and we are saddened that he will not be able to meet our daughter. We even made jokes of how he would be Shelby's first horse.


I know those of you that have had that special animal that left you way too soon can understand our hurt and pain.


Diesel loved playing fetch with Luna our other dog and Ryan or me every night, going for "Booze Cruises" as Ryan called them (which is a ride in Ryan's truck), playing with the kittens in the barn, and taking long, fast runs in our back pasture to stretch his legs. No words will describe how much we will miss him.


Here is a fun picture of our D just taken a few weeks ago trying to catch the tennis ball in the air. He wasn't very good at it but tried with all his heart and sacrificing his body 'for the game' as we always said.

I thought I would let you know that I have snagged some pics from my friends around the Houston area and added them to my Hurricane Ike picture gallery. I will add more as they come up.

I had my ITS baby shower yesterday. ITS is my job title and there are about 25 of us in the district. Two of my close friends (Monica and Kaylene) hosted the shower. I was so surprised to see many of my co-workers to the party because many of them are still dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane Ike. Many of them have family members staying with them or they are staying with family members due to no power. It meant a lot to me for them to take time out of their very crazy week to come and spend some time with me to celebrate the upcoming birth of Shelby. I also appreciate those friends who planned to attend but were not able to. My prayers are with all of you during this trying time.

We took lots of pictures and I plan to upload those pics in the near future.

As for Ike news....We still have 25 out of 60 schools w/o power in my district. At this time FBISD plans to open up and get back to normal life. However, our superintendent was going to talk with Centerpoint Energy to find out the status of the schools w/o power and would make a final decision today. Either way, faculty and staff will go to work on Monday.

We have one school that lost 60% of its roof (Christa McAuliffe MS) and the students at that school will have to attend Willowridge until repairs can be made. I was told they plan to reopen the school 2nd semester. I'll be impressed if they are able to do all that construction by January. Kudos to them if they can! I don't believe there was any major damage done to any of the other schools, but I could be wrong.

As for us...the roofing company came out and did the measurements on our home and will have an estimate for us on Monday. I talked with our insurance agency and they are having more adjusters come to this area to help with the work load and plan to have adjuster come out sometime in the near future. So, we'll see what happens with that.

I'm still waiting to find out if my friend, Alison's, family lost their beach house on Jamaica Beach. I went to visit her back in June for the day and really enjoyed the home and the beach life. I am still hopeful that their home will be standing. It has withstood many other Hurricanes. They are allowing home owners to go to Jamaica beach today, so hopefully they'll find out today what the status of their home is.

Hurricane Ike Pics and Video

Here is a video by our place of Hurricane Ike last Friday evening. It's not too exciting, but it is still interesting to see and hear the changes as the hurricane came in.

I have also added a place on the right for pics of Hurricane Ike. My friend's have pics from various places around the city. I plan to snag them so you can see their damage as well.

We are back to work today. So far, the kids are to come back on Monday. However, I don't believe all schools have power in our district yet. I'm not sure about the damage yet either. I'm fortunate as my two schools don't have any damage that I know of. PHEW! I also found out one of the middle schools in FBISD lost its roof. I don't have anymore details, but will share if they arise.

On a side note, I had told you about our sick kittens. Come to find out the Momma cat (Scrappy) had gotten in infection on one of her nipples and that, in turn, made the kittens sick. They all died. Scrappy is doing ok and is nursing a hole she has in her belly. She is still in pain but is looking better. Since she is basically wild we are unable to treat her. Poor Momma...

Waitin' on Shelby

Today we went to Richmond to do a little shopping before our doctor appointment. It was great to see stores open again and the power up and running too. We went to Academy and found Ryan some cheap jeans for work. Then we went to JC Penneys to get an outfit for Miss Shelby to wear home. There were so many cute outfits it was hard to choose. But Ryan picked out this one and I think it is very cute. He was bummed she wouldn't be able to wear her John Deere socks home. I told him why not...it has green in the outfit. :) So, She'll be all decked out when we bring her home. We can't wait.

Oh, then we went to Target and got some essentials for her and me to get through the first week or so after we get home from the hospital. Thank goodness for the gift cards. :) I know they will come in handy as we find things we need.

After we got home Ryan rode Badger and ponied Twister to start getting them back into shape. Oh, he also shod Badger. So, he's back to all 4s with shoes...which is good with the fair coming up and the anticipation of me riding again in December. The weather was awesome and I was a bit envious that he got to get out there and ride while I stayed back and burned some brush.

Our renters cut up the big tree that fell back in May and took the wood. So, we burned the brush that was left over from it. Well, actually, we burned a section of it. It is good to see that tree slowly disappear. It has been such an eye soar for me for so many months.

School is closed through Friday, but teachers have to report on Friday. So much to do and so little time. Oh well. I've had to think about it and realize I can only get done what I can get done. You can't control everything...especially hurricanes and babies. :) I guess this is God's way to make sure I don't stress and I get lots of rest before our big arrival.

Oh, back to the doctor visit...everything went well. I'm still in waiting and haven't started to dilate. I think that is good since I still have 3 weeks to go. The doc mentioned to us at the end of the visit that he'll see us at our next few visits and then he mentioned inducing at 39 weeks. That's only 2 WEEKS AWAY! I kinda panicked. This morning I woke up thinking I had 4 weeks. Only to find out I had 3 weeks. Then my doc tells me I only have 2 weeks. Too much pressure...Anyhow...Ryan thought he was kidding. So we went back and got clarification. Without giving you too many details it will depend on how my cervix is doing...if it is softening then he may induce. If not, he'll wait cause that would cause me to have a long labor. So, hopefully, we're back to 3 weeks.

I'm trying to decide when to reschedule our baby shower. I would like to do it Oct. 5 so Mom Boudrie can join in the festivities, but I'm scared if we wait that long Shelby may not wait and then we'd have to cancel or reschedule. So, we may have to do it Sept. 27. I guess I need to get with the ladies hosting the shower and see what they think as well.

Finally, here is my picture from today. I'm 36 weeks and 4 days. I gained another 2 lbs this past week so Shelby is definitely growing. I'm still within my weight. I've worked hard not to gain too much weight so I'm pretty proud of myself. I've gained 22 lbs so far. So, we'll see what the final number will be. As long as she's healthy I'm good. I just looked at the picture as I attached it and my face is definitely filling out. I guess that is good....

Cool Weather and more about Ike

What a relief! It was in the 70s all day today and in the 60s tonight. God is really looking out for 1.3 million people w/o power here in the Houston area. This weather is such a blessing! It was also for this pregnant lady stuck at home this week due to Hurricane Ike. I sat outside as much as I could today. It was WONDERFUL! It is supposed to be nice all week too. Yes! Come on cooler weather. We are so ready for you this week.

I put together Shelby's swing my team at Oakland bought for her. It took a while cause I was paranoid I wasn't putting it together correctly and it would fall apart when we put Shelby in it. So, I told Ryan I want him to check it over just to make sure before we use it. I hear this 'paranoia' never ends! Yickes!

I also have heard from a few of my friends in Houston area. They are doing well. One friend, Rachel, is still w/o power. I told her to come here and hang out. She said if power doesn't come back tomorrow she may take me up on it. She said the cooler weather has helped. She also was able to eat hot pizza. That was a big deal since none of the restaurants have been open and they have been eating granola bars, etc for meals. She said the storm got pretty crazy and scary up there. And she is pretty much in downtown!

I've been debating on what to do regarding the shower. I'd like to wait til Oct. 5th cause Nancy will be here, but I'm nervous it might get delayed again if Shelby decides to come. So, we'll see...most of the people who are invited live in this area and are getting back to normal.

We had a roofing company come out and look at our roof. They feel it may need to be replaced so we're going to contact the insurance company tomorrow and then decide from there. I guess they will have to have someone come out and look at the damage and talk with the roofing company. So, we'll see how that goes. I hate making claims...I know that's why you pay all this insurance...but I also hate paying the rate increase for who knows how long!

As for the rest of Houston...they are dealing with all of this the best that they can. I didn't watch too much tv today because it has been 24/7 news since last Thursday. Tonight is the first night regular tv is back on. You only can watch so much of it all before you get tired of it all. It appears the city, state and federal governments are doing their very best. There have been some minor glitches and the news media wants to blow that up into something negative. I believe the Judge of Houston and the Mayor of Houston are doing a great job with informing us all of what's going on and keeping the media straight...focus on the good and what we can do for these people and not worry about the negative. Many changes have been made since Katrina and Rita. In my mind, Houston and the surrounding areas have done a PHENOMENAL job! Kudos to them! They deserve it!

We still have shortages of food and fuel. They are bringing it in as fast as they can but the need is so great. Today Ryan and I put diesel in my truck. I went inside to get a tea and I overheard one of the workers say that once the fuel was gone they weren't getting anymore. I assumed anymore for that day, but not for sure. There were lines, but it wasn't that bad. We are far enough out of the city we won't have the same issues you see on CNN, etc. We are getting the crowds from the people who are trying to get back to Brazoria County and south.

As for price gauging...I haven't seen it in this area and it doesn't appear to be happening in Houston. However, I heard it is happening in other areas such as Florida. I sure hope they get the fines they deserve to do that to the locals. Right now gas is around $4.60 - 5.00 and Diesel is $3.99 in our area...not sure about in Houston. Diesel prices haven't changed...PHEW...since that is what Ryan and I use.

My district (Fort Bend ISD) is closed through Wednesday. They changed that today. As of earlier today, Richmond still did not have power and I'm not sure about Sugar Land. That's where most of our schools are located.

I guess that's it for now. Thanks for all your prayers, concerns, and phone calls. We are doing well down here and we are back to normal in our community. However, we are also blessed. There are still many more dealing with no electricity and basic needs such as clean water and food. Please keep those people in your prayers!

Hurricane Ike Update

This was written Sunday Afternoon...
After seeing all the devastation I realize how lucky we are down here on the Wharton County/ Ft. Bend County line. Ike hit hard, but we got the clean side of it. This means none of the really strong winds, strong rain and tornadoes. We did have extremely high winds on Friday night and some rain, but nothing like you see on the news. We also didn't get any of the tornadoes you may heard about. The hurricane moved slightly north as it came on shore. Just far enough north to get us out of the direct impact.

We did lose power around 2 am on Friday, but it returned around 3 pm on Saturday. We also lost it for a few hours this morning. I'm so thankful we have the generator. It was really hot, humid and still on Saturday.

So far the only damage we see is some of the shingles torn off of our house. We will have that looked at to see if we need to do anything about it.

Most of our surrounding area is on a curfew to keep people off the streets and protect the homes that belong to those who have evacuated. This has made me a bit stir crazy. I can't sit for this long. I am getting pregnant enough for everyday tasks to become a challenge and so the thought of cleaning my house or doing something productive does not sound like much fun. Ryan and I are going to go to Richmond to see if Target is open. I just need to get out of the house. If they are I'll use some gift cards to purchase stuff for the hospital and get some of the basics Shelby and I will need...and hopefully find a cute outfit to bring Shelby home in.

I took some video of the hurricane winds, etc coming in on Friday and took some pics of the houses boarded up. I'll upload those when I go back to work. My district is closed down til Wednesday at this time. Sugar Land, which is where many of our schools are located was hit pretty hard with the rain this morning and also had damage from Ike.

I'm not sure what I'll do in the meantime....maybe bang my head against the wall. LOL Hopefully Ryan will return to work soon. He had Thursday and Friday off since everyone was evacuating. It may take a day or two to get him working again as people return and re coop the money they spent evacuating. It is extremely expensive to evacuate so that really puts people in a bind.

Well, that's it for now. If anything else happens I'll be sure to add to my BLOG...but I have a feeling the next few days will be pretty low key since I'll be sitting at home staring at the walls.

UPDATE: Sunday Evening...
Well, we went to Target only to discover it had no power and it was cash only. What a bummer! I had gift cards to use. It appeared that all of Richmond was w/o power. Home Depot was open as well, but it looked dark so I'm sure it was cash only as well. I was bummed because I was looking forward to getting some baby stuff and doing something other than staring at my wonderful husband all day! HA! The good news is he suggested that we go by Erin and David's house. That was a good plan. They were home and we hung out there til about 7:15 PM.

We then came home to take care of the animals. We had baby kittens born on Aug. 12. Two had already died and the other two we have been trying to care for them. Their eyes kept sealing shut from all the gook. So, Ryan has been taking care of them and I'm playing nurse. However, it is very gross...it's like the slimy snot from a child's nose. So, I try not to gag and just had the tools he needs (water, q tips, visine...)...A friend suggested we feed them eggs and milk. So we mixed up that and fed them tonight. Poor things were starving. Their mom is not very big so I guess she had no more milk to give them. It looks like we'll be doing that for twice a day for the next two weeks until they are strong enough to eat the regular cat food. Poor little things. They are so small they fit in Ryan's front pocket on his tshirt. So they have a lot of growng to do. I'll take pics of them in Ryan's pocket so you can see. They are too cute. Hopefully they'll pull through and become strong kittens like their older brothers.

I realized I had said nothing about 9/11. Everyone should the time to remember what happen 7 years ago. May they never be forgotten...even when other 'things' cloud our minds!

Hurricane Ike

Yes we are at this time in the direct path of Hurricane Ike. We were supposed to have our couple's baby shower tomorrow, but we had to cancel. I'm VERY bummed! I was really looking forward to seeing everyone and having a great time. We are post poning it for another day, not sure when since the next few weekends are busy with other events, including the fair and the big arrival of Shelby. So, we'll see.

Back to the hurricane - we are preparing our home for the hit. At this time we are expecting 75 MPH winds at our house. So, Ryan is going to buy plywood today to board up all of our windows. He is also moving all the round bales to specific places to help with blocking the wind by our shop. I feel so useless...it's so hard watching him do all this work and I can't really help. Luckily, Kirby, the guy that is renting our house, is helping Ryan and vice versa. Thank God for Kirby and his fiance' Heather. They also have to trim a few trees around our house to avoid them falling on our house. I'm not sure if they have to do that at the rent house. I guess I need to ask Ryan about that. Worrying about two houses is added stress. We have insurance but it doesn't lighten the load or fear of what might happen.

We are both concerned about the horses, but we really have no where to go. All the places we would go to are in direct line with the hurricane. I also don't want to leave being so pregnant. I would hate for something to happen and me be so far from home and our hospital.

Baby Shower at Oakland

I wanted to share all the wonderful gifts that were given to us at one of my school's yesterday. Each team brought a gift or gift card for little Miss Shelby. Please go to All About Shelby Lynn to see the wonderful gifts and great pictures. My team is VERY artsy and LOVES to go all out with the decorations. As you can see, they didn't let me down! :) I was blown away when I walked into the library. I'm so lucky to have them in my life!!! Be sure to check out all the details. One of my favorites was the sign they had made for Shelby. I plan to hang it in her room and as she grows we'll add it to our collection in the shop.

6 lbs 4 oz - and adding...

Yesterday we had our doctor appointment for week 35. We had an ultra sound. It is not as good or clear as the one we had back in June, but I have uploaded some of the pics for you to check out. We even had them double check to be sure we were still having a girl and it’s a go. (That was for all of you who had doubt she might not be a girl!

This picture is TERRIBLE...but I thought I'd share anyhow. It is a picture of her face. I don't see it, but I just pretended that I did. ha! It is apparently a picture from the front.

Anyhow, according to the ultra sound technician (I’m not sure if that’s her official title, but it sounds good!) Anyhow, she told us that Shelby is doing very well and is a healthy 6 lbs 4 oz. My original due date is October 10th. The technician told me according to her measurements my due date is October 5th. So, we’ll see…the due date we are going by will still be October 10th.

Shelby has moved into to the downward position. I figured she was since I am not walking very quickly and I’ve been more uncomfortable in the lower region of my belly. She still manages to kick and push my belly in all sorts of weird positions even though her head is facing downward. The doc says she hangs out on the left side of my belly. Of course I didn’t need the doc to tell me that…we could feel her there on a regular basis.

I’m now going every week to the doctor. So, I’ll keep you up to date as we get closer and closer to the big day. We are still hopeful to make it the fair this year, which is at the end of September, but I guess we’ll see what Shelby has to say.

Today I have my baby shower at Oakland. I’m looking forward to that. I’ll share pics, etc. later this week. I’ll be sure to get some new pics of my belly too. I’ve grown a lot since last week. Even I have noticed how much I’ve grown. I’m still not huge, but there is definitely a belly there! J It’s all Shelby!

Friday is my personal shower my ‘horse’ friends are hosting. Erin, Glenda, Rossy, Pam, and Donna are hosting a couple’s baby shower. That should be a lot of fun. We plan to have BBQ with all the fixings. We will have the party at our house since we have the shop. I’m really looking forward to that. It looks like it will be pretty big too…with around 50 people who have RSVP’d already. Yickes! I guess anytime you say BBQ and Beer…your guaranteed to get a Texan to show up! HA! I’ll take lots of pics and share those with you next week.

Of course, as I write all this there is yet another Hurricane in the Gulf. Hurricane Ike is keeping us all guessing. Right now they expect to be at least a 3 if not stronger. However, it keeps changing directions so we’re not sure where it will hit. Monday it was heading right towards Galveston which would not be good for us. Yesterday it had moved south and was heading towards the Port O’Connor area (south of us), but they expect it to take a sharp turn to the North, which might bring it back to Galveston. It should hit sometime Friday/Saturday which is not good with our party. So, I’m hopeful that it won’t gain momentum and will turn out to be a dud like Hurricane Eduardo was a few weeks ago.

Last night, Ryan and I worked on the yard trying to get the front and back lawn cut with the lawn mower and the future pasture to the left of our house shredded. I finished the back lawn and the lawn right in front of our house. However, when I went to mow the otherside the belt broke on our lawn mower….arg…I told Ryan that lawn mower is our official money pit. So, I guess the other side of the front lawn will not be mowed for a little while. I guess it was good because it made me quit. Shelby was not happy when I got off the lawn mower and was pretty active and my belly was achy. So, I guess I’m done with that job til after she arrives…at least Ryan was able to finish shredding.

Well, this has turned into a book already so I will go for now. I have been so busy at work and home I just have not had time to do much of anything but work. It has been so busy at work as I attempt to complete a semesters worth of work in 8 weeks. LOL…as I type that I believe I wrote that last week. Sorry…blame it on Shelby working on being a genius by stealing all my brain cells! Anywho...Enjoy the new pics and I’ll add more pics of the showers later.

6 More Weeks

Sorry about the messed up layout. I don't have time to fix it and it bugs me enough to make this comment. :)

Last Friday was the '6 weeks to go' mark. So, I thought I'd share a picture of Shelby and how she's growing. I'm trying to make it interesting with the 2nd picture being a side view. Boy do I look big now! HA! I know I've grown a lot in the last week.

We also had fun with Sady Jane this weekend. I had this little outfit sitting and she kept laying on it. So I joked that she probably wanted to wear it. So, Ryan put it on her and she didn't really fuss. Of course we had to take pics.

Finally, Cubby Bear had to check out Shelby's stroller. We had it in the shop and I wanted to bring it in to get ready for Shelby's arrival. Anyhow, Cubby being Cubby had to test it out to be sure it was "Cubby Approved" for Shelby.

I have an appointment next week and then I'll be on weekly appointments. So, the time is coming very quickly! Ryan and I are both very excited.
